Privacy and cancellation
Plain versions of the two things worth writing down: what happens to information you send me through this site, and what happens if you need to move or miss a session.

Cancellation and payment
Moving a session. Give me at least 24 hours notice and we will find another time at no cost, as often as you need to.
Less than 24 hours. The session counts as used. This is not a penalty, it is that the hour was held for you and cannot be filled at that notice. If something genuinely serious happens, tell me and I will use my judgement.
Refunds. I do not offer refunds on sessions or packages. This is why the first conversation is free and why a single session exists: so you can find out what the work is like before committing money to more of it.
Group sessions and circles. Tickets for online group sessions, such as the Queer Men’s Somatic Circle, are non-refundable.
Paying. Packages are paid up front or split across two months. Unused sessions in a package do not expire on a fixed date, but they are not transferable to another person.
If you want to stop. You can end at any point, and you do not owe me a reason. Sessions you have not used stay available to you.
Privacy
This site sets no tracking cookies and carries no advertising. It counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which shows totals such as which pages were read, which site sent people here, and their country and device type. It uses no cookies or local storage and doesn't follow anyone across other sites, so I can't see who you are.
The contact form
It collects your name, your email address, which option you picked, and whatever you write in the message box.
It also records the IP address you send it from. I did not choose that and cannot switch it off; Web3Forms captures it as spam protection and prints it in the email that reaches me. If that matters to you, email me directly at mikey@mikeysomatics.com instead of using the form.
Submissions are handled by Web3Forms, a third-party form service, which emails them to me. Worth knowing: Web3Forms does not only pass the message along, it also stores it for up to three years in an encrypted database before deleting it automatically. Their infrastructure runs on Amazon Web Services, Cloudflare, and Hetzner.
That is why the form says not to send anything clinically sensitive through it. It is ordinary email passing through someone else's servers, not a secure medical channel. Tell me enough to decide whether to talk. Save the rest for the call.
Enquiries you send me
Once your message reaches my inbox I read it, reply, and keep it while we are in touch. I do not add you to a mailing list, and I have never sold or shared an enquiry with anyone.
You can ask me to delete anything you have sent, at any time, and I will do it and confirm when it is done. Email mikey@mikeysomatics.com.
Booking a circle
Circle tickets are paid through Stripe, which collects your name, email address and payment details and sends your receipt. I can see your name, email, the last four digits of your card, and your answers to the two checkout questions. I never see your full card number.
I use your email for your joining link and anything about the session you booked. I only email you about future circles if you answered yes, and you can ask me to stop at any time.
Sessions themselves
I am not a licensed provider, so I do not hold medical records and this is not care covered by HIPAA. What you say in a session stays between us.
If you want to know exactly what I keep from our sessions and for how long, ask me directly and I will tell you plainly. You can ask me to delete anything at any point.
If you want something in writing for a doctor or a therapist you are working with, ask and we will work out what is accurate to say.
The rest of the site
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention. Headings and body text load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads. The links to my recordings point at YouTube; nothing from YouTube loads until you follow one, so YouTube sets nothing on you here.
